Balloon Carpal Tunnelplasty (BCTP)

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a common problem effecting thousands of people each year. It can cause significant pain and disability. CTS is generally associated with repetitive and forceful use of the hands. This causes the median nerve to become compressed. Patient may develop pain and numbness of the fingers. The longer the median nerve is compressed the more permanent the damage to the nerve fibers. Therefore, early treatment to relieve pressure on the nerve, usually results in a better the prognosis.

Balloon Carpal Tunnelplasty (BCTP) is a minimally invasive surgery that can preserve the transverse carpal tunnel ligament (TCL). This
surgery requires a very small incision and a fast recovery. A balloon is inserted and inflated to see the anatomy to elevate and stretch the transverse carpal tunnel ligament (TCL). This allows room for the median nerve and relieves the pain.

Nextradesis

A New Path to Attractive, Healthy and Happy Toes

As many as 60 million Americans suffer from hammertoes, a bending of the toe that is unsightly and often painful. Hammertoes are more common among women due to their tendency to wear tight, narrow shoes but the condition affects men as well. The median age of hammertoe sufferers is 52 – by which time they likely have logged 75,000 miles on their feet.

If left untreated, hammertoes become more pronounced and painful often requiring surgery. Up to now, wires were used for surgical correction. In this technique one or more wires are inserted through the end of the toe and through the bone. These wires stay in place for four to six weeks, protruding from the end of the toes. As would be expected, simple things such working, driving, bathing and even sleeping are difficult while these wires are in place.

A treatment breakthrough, called nextradesis, is now available. It is an advanced surgical technique for happier toes that does not require insertion of wires. The Nextra Hammertoe Correction System allows patients to return to work, bathe and sleep without unsightly, painful protruding wires…waking up to happy toes.

Nextradesis benefits to the patient:
No disruption of healthy joint as seen from the use of k-wires and screws
No wires sticking out of the toes for 4 to 6 weeks
Retained bone compression and implant stability to assist the bone’s natural healing properties
No risk of pin tract infection
Normal bathing, hygiene and comfort during sleep without a wire

For the surgeon:
Stability- Optimized thread and sizing for secure implant-to-complex bone interface
Compression- RevLock™ ratcheting cam system allowing for natural bone healing
Adjustability- Patented Reverse Locking System for total surgeon control and reversibility
Precision – Unprecedented

The RevLock Adjustable Locking Feature is at the core of the Nextra Implant’s adjustability and versatility. It allows for provisional ratcheted locking or even complete disengagement if the surgeon wants to reposition the implant. In fact, through its unique patented features, the Nextra System offers the foot and ankle surgeon greater control in adapting to a patients individual anatomy versus adapting the patient to the product.

Total Hip Replacement with Direct Anterior Approach

Direct Anterior Total Hip Replacement is a muscle sparing technique for hip replacement that is performed through an alternative approach which avoids cutting muscles or tendons. A special surgical table is used to facilitate hip exposure. Patients have less pain and a faster recovery compared to conventional total hip replacement. By the second week after surgery, most patients don’t need a walker or cane.

Patient Specific Total Knee Replacement

Computer assisted total knee replacement has evolved into patient specific total knee replacement. A pre-operative MRI is combine with leg alignment x-rays to create custom instrumentation for performing total knee replacement. This allows for greater alignment accuracy and improved implant positioning. Dr. Noble combines this new technology with a less invasive muscle sparing technique for even faster recovery.

FAST Procedure – Focused Aspiration of Soft Tissue

The innovative FAST procedure—Focused Aspiration of Scar Tissue—is based on advanced technology developed in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic. FAST is a minimally invasive procedure designed to remove tendon scar tissue quickly and safely, without disturbing your surrounding healthy tendon tissue. The FAST procedure and TX1™ Tissue Removal System can be used to address the most common areas for tendon and soft tissue injuries including:

Plantar fascia
Achilles tendon

The FAST Procedure
The FAST procedure enables doctors to provide their patients with a rapid and precise option for removing pathologic soft tissue without an open surgical procedure.

Perform under local anesthetic with patient completely awake
Percutaneous insertion of TX1 MicroTip (18-gauge)
Tiny microinsertion minimizes infection risk
Total procedure performed in 15 minutes or less
Tiny microincision (3 mm) closed with an adhesive bandage
