Where will my surgery be performed?
PBOI physicians perform procedures at local outpatient surgery centers and provide inpatient care at local hospitals. The doctor’s staff will schedule the surgery for you and let you know where it will be performed.

  • Review and update your medication and allergy list
    Make sure you review and update your medications and allergies list prior to your surgery. We recommend that you put all your medications and allergies on an index card that you can keep in your wallet or on your person. Bring this with you to your surgery.


    Obtain your surgical clearance right away
    Some surgeries will require a written surgical clearance from other physicians. Once your surgery date is set, you will be instructed to make appointments with the appropriate physicians to obtain your medical clearance right away! If your medical clearance is not obtained in time, your surgery could be delayed.


    Prepare the following items and bring them with you to the hospital

  • Insurance card
  • Photo ID
  • X-Rays and MRI’s

  • Get a good night’s sleep and just relax!
    The night before surgery, get a good night’s sleep and just relax. You are in good hands!
