Arthur C. Burdett, MD

Dr. Burdett was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. He grew up in New England and graduated from Phillips Andover Academy and Yale. He received his MD Degree from the University of Virginia.

Post graduate training was at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he completed his internship and residency culminating in his being Chief Resident and instructor in surgery.

During the Vietnam era, he was an orthopaedic surgeon at McDill AFB, Tampa, Florida.

Since 1973 he has been in the private practice of orthopaedic surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has staff privileges at Good Samaritan Medical Center, St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach (where he has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of the Division of Surgery) and he also has orthopaedic staff privileges at Jupiter Medical Center and Northpoint Surgery Center.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Orthopaedic Society, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Burdett subscribes to their ethical guidelines for the practice of orthopaedic surgery. He has been president of the Florida Orthopaedic Society and Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Florida Orthopaedic Society. He has been a member of the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a founding member of Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute.

Dr. Burdett is actively involved in the community. His special interests include treating patients with trauma, joint pain, and prior joint replacements. He treats non-operative patients seeking consultation and second opinions.
