Bruce Waxman, MD

Dr. Waxman graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1968. He trained in the Harvard University Orthopaedic Residency Program and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. During his service as a Major in the United States Air Force he was Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tyndall Air Force Base hospital in Panama City, Florida. Since 1976 Dr. Waxman has been engaged in the private practice of orthopaedic surgery in the Palm Beaches/Jupiter region of Florida. He is founding member of Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute.

From 1976 until 2003, Dr. Waxman's primary focus was reconstructive and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and hip joints. He also provided conservative care of many orthopaedic conditions. Since September 2003, Dr. Waxman has limited his practice to non-operative orthopaedics, consultations, and second opinions. He assists in arranging appropriate referrals for surgery when indicated. He continues to practice full time with the Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute.

Professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Medical Society, Florida Orthopaedic Society, Palm Beach County Medical Society, Palm Beach Orthopaedic Society, and the Vermont Medical Society. Active state medical licenses are Florida and Vermont.
