Gary Wexler, MDDr. Gary Wexler joined PBOI as a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine and Arthoscopic Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Wexler received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University where he graduated with Honors. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for his Medical Degree. He completed his orthopedic residency training at Rush Medical Center in Chicago and spent an extra year in a Clinical Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the internationally recognized Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. Dr. Wexler's orthopedic expertise is in the field of knee and shoulder injuries. He has received subspecialty training in the arthroscopic treatment of complex knee disorders: ACL Reconstruction, Cartilage Repair, Meniscal Repair/Transplantation, and total Knee Replacement. His practice also centers on the evaluation and treatment of shoulder injuries: Rotator Cuff Tears, Shoulder Instability, and Arthoscopic Shoulder Surgery. He is presently Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Wexler also has a strong sense of community and commitment to patient care. In Palm Beach County, he is the team physician for many of the local colleges and high schools. He believes that all patients, whether athlete or non-athlete, deserve the highest level of care and should expect attention and compassion from their physician. To these ends, Dr. Wexler maintains a motivated interest in all of his patients and a commitment to assist them through their recovery process. He often speaks to community groups on the latest issues in Sports Medicine. When not involved in the practice of medicine, Dr. Wexler enjoys outdoor activities including tennis, running and sailing. |
