Madison Schwerzler is an NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery, with over five years of experience treating hip and knee conditions. She works closely alongside Dr. Robert J. Avino, providing comprehensive care for patients with hip and knee arthritis, with a focus on robotic-assisted joint replacement, including hip replacement and knee replacement procedures.
Madison is known for her attentive, patient-centered approach. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and ensures they feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment journey. She plays an integral role in guiding patients through the entire joint replacement process, including evaluation, preoperative preparation, and postoperative recovery, while maintaining clear communication and continuity of care.
As part of a specialized orthopedic team, Madison helps deliver a seamless, team-based experience focused on precision, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes. She is actively involved in both clinical care and surgical support, helping patients achieve improved mobility and relief from arthritis-related pain.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Madison earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hill University in 2020. She then completed a postgraduate Physician Assistant Surgical Residency at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York, where she received advanced training in orthopedic and surgical care.
Madison relocated to Florida in 2021 and has since practiced full-time in orthopedic surgery. In 2024, she joined Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute, where she also gained experience in orthopedic urgent care before transitioning into her current role on the joint replacement team.
Outside of the office, Madison enjoys playing tennis, practicing Pilates, exploring new restaurants, and reading.
